Smothered Pork Chops

Smothered Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6-8 Boneless Pork Chops
  • Flour
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Seasonings (Salt, Pepper, Garlic, anything that sounds good to you)
  • Golden Mushroom Soup
  • Vegetable Oil or Butter
Start with heating up your oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.  I use just enough to coat the bottom about 2 tablespoons.  Next get two shallow dishes or bowls.  Fill one with a cup of milk and one egg mixed together and the other with a cup of flour and your seasonings.  Dip each pork chop in the milk/egg mixture, then the flour mixture and repeat before placing it in you heated skillet.  Cook about 5 to 6 minutes on each side ( I cooked more like 8 on each side because I get paranoid when cooking meat).

Once you've cooked all your pork chops place them in a baking dish.  If they are oily I would put them on a couple of paper towels for a few minutes to drain some of the grease off before this step.

Next sprinkle 3 to 4 tablespoons of flour in the the pan you cooked the pork chops in and slowly add about 3/4 cup of milk while mixing it really good with a wooden spoon.  Don't stop mixing or it will get lumpy.  After you have your gravy base add 1 can of Golden Mushroom soup and heat until bubbling.

Poor the gravy mixture over your pork chops and cook at 375 for 30 to 45 minutes.

I forgot to take an after picture but trust me they were yummy.  Lots of flavor and very tender.
